As we know CNBC Europe goes its own way as far as idents and graphics go.

CNBC US still use the tag on theirs ' a service of NBC Universal & Dow Jones'
*

The usual CNBC Asia ident is the same minus the tag.

However I've come across a second CNBC Asia ident which was used coming out of a break on Squawk Australia. I don't think it's used on CNBC US.

CNBC Europe was very quick to drop the Dow Jones once they sold out. However, CNBC US have never been owned by Dow Jones and still use the tagline, which is very odd.

The most interesting thing pres-wise that's happened pres-wise with CNBC in a while is that Morning Call is no more since Liz Claman's departure to Fox. An hour of it has been handed to Squawk on the Street (meaning Squawk Box, if you want to take the two shows together, now runs for a ridiculous five hours. At this rate, I foresee a time when all CNBC programmes are called Squawk Box!!!!!) while a rump of the show has been left between 11am-12 noon (4-5pm for us, clashing with European Closing Bell so we don't see it) as The Call, with no regular presenter and no clear vision of where its meant to be in the schedule other than to avoid starting Power Lunch at 11 (after all, that would be as ridiculous as when it ran until 3pm!).

Meanwhile, CNBC Europe continue to trod along with the titles used since September 2004 with no clear intent of replacing them, even though they sit rather uneasily with the rest of the graphics package which is borrowed from CNBC US. Daniel Mann has recently left the station, while Simon Hobbes is back on the air with The Leaders, although he doesn't look like returning to the Business Day team anytime soon. Strangest of all is an occasional prime-time show anchored by Geoff Cuthmore called "Squawk Outside The Box". What did I say earlier about Squawk...

Well, its not that bad a name is it? Cool

I have noticed that there doesn't appear to be many changes made recently, I think the channel is badly in need of funding. Bloomberg is going from strength to strength (and actually takes about finance most of the time unlike CNBC U.S.). Bloomberg have started running trailers for a "new look," so the fullscreen look will be here soon in the UK and Asia.

CNBC Europe require a major graphics refresh; a new system to generate graphics - as the current ones are terrible and are still the same, even after all these years, just a little bit different looking.

I've seen it when watching the NBC Nightly News mostly but does anyone know why they put up a notice saying "We can't show these pictures for technical reasons " when the real reason is they can't show them for the reason that they don't have the rights to show them to an international audience

It seems an odd decision to put up the wrong excuse and they have been doing that since the olypmics in 2004

CNBC US has kept the tagline naming Dow Jones as their link with DJ expertise and personnell is very important to them. This agreement will continue even though News Corp will soon complete their takeover of Dow Jones.

The Call does have a regular anchor now namely Trish Regan, often with Dylan Ratigan on the floor of the NYSE.

Correct me if im wrong, but i think all of NBC is green this week for some enviormental thing. Today Show was green for the past couple of days, they did a live simulcast from Antartic, Antartica and the Equator which was good.

I know this is CNBC thread, but here is Mondays Today Show, nice opening

CNBC has invested alot of money into developing an Australian base. Earlier this year began Squark Australia (an early morning business show) and now they've just expanded again recently with two new shows called Trading Matters (a daily wrap-up) and Australia This Week (a weekly wrap up), they've also moved to a new studio just opposite the Australian Stock Exchange.

It's quite impressive that CNBC has expanded in Australia in such a sort time

And with that comes more focus on NZ markets etc as it began on Sky TV again after not being on for a few years.

Squawk Australia is shown on CNBC Europe just once a week, Sunday/Monday. Australia This Week is shown several times over the weekend..

Here's a sport/leisure ident used by CNBC Asia going into a break. There are others using other sporting themes.
