Worldwide Exchange looks like it is generated by CNBC Europe. Key reasons: on the intra-day charts the dot at the most recent trade with the square brackets flashing, [ [ [ X ] ] ] and also the font used is the one that CNBC Europe uses.

Its certainly not generated by the US and very much doubt it is generated by Asia.

You may well be right, and if true, it's odd that Europe didn't relaunch the rest of their on air look alongside the US.

Asia, for the record, is still using their own simpler variation of the recently dumped CNBC US look... I never thought that Asia would have the best looking output on CNBC. Shocked

Got a chance to see Worldwide Exchange today ... and yep, it does look as if CNBC Europe are the ones running the show, certainly as regards the Hotboards anyway. The biggest give-away is the use of their oval flag icon, as opposed to CNBC Asia's rectangular flags, while CNBC US doesn't seem to be able to generate anything other than US share prices using its software.

The programme seemed to work rather well, although I think CNBC Europe have no excusive not to bump Power Lunch back to two hours now. On the subject of Power Lunch, Simon Hobbes presented today and he just seems to get more and more hyper as time goes on - he seemed positively estatic to introduce the Halftime Report!

As for US Squawk... getting rid of Mark Haines was not a good move. Did not see much of it but its seems to have lost the old Squawk charm...they don't really seem to have a Squawk Exchange any more, and I'm even more unsure of Joe Kernan as an anchor than as a contributor.

mark haines IS Sqawk USA, and without him, the show is doomed, likewise if they try and lift Geoff Cutmore from Sqawk UK. I hope Mark will be back soon, he's been my guiding light in the investment world!

CNBC Europe seem to have done a quick re-edit to their idents today, to remove the "A Service of NBC Universal and Dow Jones" tagline, now that sole ownership has passed to NBC.

Interestingly during power lunch europe the staff in the background seemed to be in the newsroom looking at what looked like the us corporate style graphs.....the plot thickens./.....

Surely that would just have been the first hour of Squawk Box in the US (which we don't see).

Also I have noticed that they have moved the ticker up a little, so now the clock can be seen.

Didn't you say Power Lunch above... If it was Power Lunch then it would have been Squawk Box in the US. If it was during Worldwide Exchange then it would have just been the graphics from Europe as they are producing those graphics which are similar to the US ones.
