Gotta love the Daily Mail readers' comments:

John from Clacton posted:

The BBC get enough of our money, so surely they could get some new decorations, or is it to be a typical BBC action, and just a repeat of last years decorations.

Whereas of course, if the BBC spent your vastly inflated Licence Fee on new decorations every year, the Mail would be full of complaints wailing how much is wasted every year on new decorations when last year's were perfectly good enough.

John, from Clacton, I've never met you before, but I can safely say you are a crainless bunt.

Laughing Or even a trucking tanker. Maybe John from Clacton just

I doubt they'll do anything really. Don't forget, in N8 the tree rarely went up pre-Christmas eve, and there was nothing for N6.

Because it was Christmas Eve before Breakfast were done with it in N6/TC7

Was this the case as far back as 2003? They still didn't put their tree up until Christmas Eve back then.

Charlie & Suzannah have just mentioned that they have been getting e-mails about the absence of a tree on the Breakfast set, following an article about "The Humbug Club" - they seemed not to know when it'd be arriving, and appeared a bit peeved about it.

Yet yesterday Bill and Sian repeatedly mentioned that it would be arriving on Monday. They'll probably use the snowflake-added background as they have the last two years.

While we're here, the LSE on Breakfast at least has their decorations up by the way of a tiny tree shoved in the corner and said snowflakes on the screen.

No sign of any trees down here on the south coast yet... Neither South Today or Meridian Tonight has them up...

I wonder how the BBC News channel will decorate? Will they put a tree up in N6, or will the graphics people add one to the News room back drop.

I suppose the handy thing this year is that they aren't doing World any more so won't need to remove it overnight

Dont think Meridian ever have a tree up since being at Whiteley? But do have one during GMTV.

Like I said earlier in the thread, Christmas on Breakfast starts on Monday. And the tree is going to be the best ever.

SE had one up last year, although it was pretty small and often out of shot I seem to remember. Mind you, I'm surprised they can even fit the presenters in that broom cupboard.
