The Cambridge edition of Look East announced it would return in the New Year, but that we would be able to see the news from Norwich, which is presumably what most Cambridge residents will hope for if the Milton Keynes move ever happens.

The BBC have ran an article with 'real' footage of Father Christmas flying on his sleigh last night. An organisation track him, just to be safe.

Just a stupid article, where they are trying to get the good children to realise that everyone needs tracking, even F.C. - Though, I think we can safely assume that there is no threat from F.C. Wink! *cough I.D. cards acceptance!*

What an awful political message disguised as a sweet article for the children.

You're right! I've got a tape of the Christmas Day BBC News from 1995 and Dean Martin died that year. IIRC, Bob Monkhouse died about three years ago (albeit on Boxing Day, but it's near enough).

People die every day of the year whether they''re famous or not.

Anyway, for the other post, Bob Monkhouse died December 29th 2003, not Boxing Day.

Births, Deaths and events on Christmas Day

Of course you're not expected to know all these people, or know about all the events that happened!

Surprisingly there is a late regional bulletin tonight

I can only recall 2 bulletins on Boxing Day in previous years

Strange that you get a better service on Boxing Day than you do on Saturdays and Sundays all year round!

I was rather suprised to see BBC Regional News at 1.05pm today, was expecting a teatime one, not a lunchtime. More effort than ITV mind you.

I wonder why ITV dont do regional bulletins on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Christmas Day I can understand.

Oh well regional news back today on ITV1 with a shorter than usual evening bulletin for the rest of this week.
