There's an intriguing piece in Press Gazette which mentions that the former BBC and Sky News correspondent/presenter Chris Morris is planning to set up a new digital channel next year which will "cover news events and documentaries and be based in the Pinewood studio" and is looking for presenters, camera crew and producers.
It sounds like one of the those plans which may well never come to anything, but it's interesting nonetheless.
Ah good to know what Chris is up to! Always one of my favourites on Sky News...although he seemed a little hard done by with shifts towards the end of his employment there.
On the idea: Sounds very interesting, but whether it will actually happen or be any good is another matter. Still let's hope so!
Yes, I also wondered where he had got to. My most vivid memory of Chris was him turning up out of the blue to present a single late night Sunday bulletin on BBC1, when it should have been Jan Leeming, who was always there on a Sunday.
All became apparent on the Monday morning, when Jan was on the front page of all the tabloids, having been mugged inside the newsroom and had bleach thrown in her face, when she disturbed some intruders on her way to the studio to record the headlines!!
Anyway, nice to see Chris back in the world of Media!!
