Sorry for creating a new topic. I couldn't find a Channel 5 News thread, but tonight's 5 News hasn't made it to air..

5 are currently showing 'Riots & Robbers - caught on camera'..

So, they're showing a news special focused on parliament instead then...

What a shame on a big breaking news day for the 5news team who do a brilliant job with a small team and what I assume is a relatively small budget.

Could it hit ITV and C4 as well?

It didn't go very well either - the announcer apologised for the lack of the news but then it went to a silent "5 News" breakfiller for about a minute, presumably generated at ITN?

The power cut hit the gallery of Studio 2 at ITN. ITV News is on the air fine, as was ITV News London before it, so they are unaffected.

5 News Tonight has made it to air.

Do they still have separate host for the two bulletins?

It got worst.. Because when the substitute programme did start, the announcer apologised again for the lack of 5 News and for the delay to the start of 'Riots & Robbers', which had been on air for about a minute..

Who is the announcer? Despite that error, I do think he is one very clear, non shouty approach that most take these days.
