Does anyone know when channel 4’s moving to Leeds, I assume they’ll be a new look for the news to coincide with it

I thought Channel 4 News is remaining at ITN in London?

I think the original plan was to have the programme co-anchored from Leeds and London unless that's changed.

So that means they will remain in Studio 6 at ITN and have a new smaller news studio in Leeds?

As far as I'm aware, they've not made any announcements about studio provision or how big the Leeds studio will be.

I think the Leeds studio is very much secondary - maybe the brief lunchtime summaries and perhaps weekend bulletins will come from there.

I think weekend bulletins will probably stay in the main studio if that's the route they go down - because there's no regions you have to remember C4 still outputs 30 minutes on a weekend evening, as long as an ITV weekday bulletin.

Yes, but at weekends they don't tend to have studio interviews, making being out of London less of an issue. The weather is something they could move too - very much a token effort but means something every weeknight is from Leeds.

I hope they don't go down the two studio route for the main show - personally never think that really works. IIRC they were looking to commission a daily live show to come out of Leeds.

I think Newsday and Beyond 100 Days work well enough on the BBC
Write that down in your copybook now.

They quite regularly have studio interviews on a weekend.
