Channel 4 News in HD

Are my eyes deceiving me? Tonight's Channel 4 News has the 4 HD DOG, and as far as I can tell the studio shots are in HD. Reports are still SD.

Hasn't it been like that for a while now? Pretty sure I've seen the 4HD DOG on Channel 4 News before.

I was watching it last week, it was definitely still SD then.

Still looks upscaled to me, the graphics weren't exactly 'pinging' in sharpness. I'm guessing the HD DOG was a mistake.

The astons and most of the reports were upscaled - but I am certain the studio shots, titles, live OB interviews and the Damon Albarn interview were in HD. The EPG also stated it was in HD, and not Upscaled HD as it usually says.

It was definitely a clearer picture than is normal. Isn't it odd that this change has been made mid-week?

I'm sure when ITV News went HD it was done on Wednesday or Thursday with no fanfare.

I didn't watch it last night, but I would have presumed they went HD on Monday and nobody on here watched it on 4 HD to notice.

I recorded C4 News from +1 on Freeview.

Studio is in HD, along with the pre-recorded interviews that Jon and Cathy did towards the end of the bulletin. Weather is also in HD.
