Nice to see some innovation from C4 then - as ITV go back to boring old sitting behind a desk, I'm looking forward to seeing this new presenter on the "newsbelt" sliding across the screen!

Laughing For those who don't know, 'newsbelt' is the term used within ITN for the secondary presenter's role.

I've heard it will feature John and Krishnan sitting behind the newsbelt with various models representing the days news stories. They then have 15 seconds to remember as much as possible and at the end Brucie comes out saying "Didn't they do well!?"

Don't you just hate it on the C4 News, at thend, when the camera leaves the desk and goes to the back of the studi towards the wall. I qould much prefer a normal closing shot of the presenter at the desk.

I think you'll find most people on here like that presentational quirk.

Sorry. Just I think it looks a bit naff - the camera panning away from the desk, then zooming towards the back window of the ITN headquarters.

Would you prefer it if it was a static camera shot or a swoop?

oh indeed, it's the best part of C4N. I love when they occasionally pull out from the previous camera's monitor and swing round, it's such a good effect.

I'm sure if I searched hard enough I could find the old "spin spectacular" site dedicated to the spins of Samira on Channel 4 News.

So the spin spectacular website is dedicated to the camera at the end of the programme spinning when Samira Ahmed is presenting?
