This popped up at the beginning of part two of Deal or no Deal on Friday at around 16:36, by this time the banker had already announced (via the medium of Noel Edmonds) the news of Liam Fox's resignation anyway as Deal or no Deal was live last week.

Matt Frei did the live trail for the programme today so I'm assuming he will be doing the show tonight? No great surprise as I think he is being lined up to replace Jon when he retires. One nose will be seriously out of joint...

If you're talking about Krishnan, I honestly don't believe he is *that* good to be the face of Channel 4 News. Yeah, he's fine as a secondary presenter and was fine as the face of the old noon bulletin, but he doesn't command as much respect as perhaps Jon or Matt do, IMO.

I was talking about krishnan who I have enormous respect for. Trouble is who is good enough for 4 these days? Jon isn't cutting it anymore and Matt Frei who was good tonight looked like he hadn't had a shave in 2 days...So what do they do?

Interesting. So it's all right for Matt Frei to not shave for a few days but Samira Ahmed's "scruffy" hairstyle was too much for C4 bosses

Krish is reporting from Tunisia this evening, which probably accounts for Matt Frei's appearance in the presenter's chair this weekend.

Yikes. What an awful environment to work in.

Indeed! That's pretty much what the ITV News studio looks like permanently. I do feel for the newscasters as it must be a horribly disorientating environment in which to work every day.
