Has Cathy Newman presented yet? I was away last week but note her job title on the website has changed.

I'm slightly disappointed there's been no set update with this fairly radical reshuffle. What they have is good but it is now essentially a decade old.


Cathy Newman's still being trained up at the moment. As for set and design changes, stay tuned. I believe things might happen this side of Christmas.

Where is all this cash coming from for new faces at C4 News. Would much rather see it spent on reinstating the News at Noon.

Indeed, I'd love News at Noon to return. Having to wait around until at least 1.00pm for a decent news bulletin is irritating. At least in times gone by ITN's offering was at 12.30pm rather than the ridiculous 1.30pm. C4 Noon was a great programme too with a good mix of content.

Just tuned into Channel Four News and noticed Sarah Smith presenting in London. Great to see her back at ITN HQ, she was great on the now defunct More4 News a few years ago. Has anyone seen Matt Frei reporting from Washington yet?

Indeed, he filed a report on 9/11 a few days before the anniversary.

He also did a live from there - in a similar looking area to the BBC.

Did anyone watch Cathy present tonights Channel 4 News?

Sarah Smith is a very competent presenter. I think having her based in London, infrequently presenting in place of Carl Dinnen (who's okay at presenting but much better at reporting) will be good for the programme.

Any idea why Morland Sanders (the new "North Correspondent") was dispatched to the South of Wales for the Mining accident!? Is South Wales now in "the North"? Surely The Midlands would have been a better fit if one had to be made?

I too would like to see a second bulletin, if not at Noon then how about before the Countdown/DonD block? There's a distinct lack of news programmes on air at that time at all.
