They usually do something a bit different with the promo too around 5.45pm - it's never just a static studio shot.

It is a great theme tune. Funny to think that it was also used as the theme from "Pale Rider" , a Clint Eastwood western.

as fab as it looks I still preferred the launch ones where it cut from the titles into the screen and the presenter appeared out of nowhere in a very slick shot

I'm amazed really they've continued bothering with moving the set around for More 4 News considering it takes quite a bit of effort in such a short amount of time.

I think it is important to keep the link between the programmes while keeping them distinctly different. It does show what can be done with a simple but flexible studio.

Unusual last night that Krishnan was presenting Channel 4 News with Alex Thomson on More 4 News. You rarely see them co-presenting on Channel 4 News cuz they're sort of on a par in terms of being Jon Snow's stand-ins... though IIRC where they have done in the past it has been Alex who has had the main anchor seat?! Two of my favourite newsreaders in any case!

Samira Ahmed presenting the Channel 4 News and Sport tonight, with Jon Snow in Washington. Jon also said Krishnan will be presenting the news tomorrow from Washington.
