Jon Snow gets indignant (he has a case imo) at the BBC video supply agreement with regional newspapers ...

He has a very good point IMO - it's doing ITN no favours at all who've actually been working quite hard to get their content on various websites over the last few years.

Channel 4 News at Noon and More4 News have been cancelled.

Understandable about More4 News being axed, but it's a great shame News At Noon is getting the chop, probably the only worthy news bulletin on Daytime TV, but considering the dire state of Channel 4's finances it's not surprising.

Just a heads-up that News at Noon and More 4 News will be axed a week tomorrow on Friday 18th December, not on 23rd December as originally planned.

Has there been any more on the planned Channel 4 News revamp? It was mentioned quite a long time ago. I just wondered if they were waiting for News at Noon and More 4 News to go first. Perhaps we'll see something early in the new year??

I imagine it's been delayed due to the cutbacks. Such a shame News at Noon is going - and if it really has too, a shame C4 couldn't see any value in keeping it running another six months to cover the election.

Does anyone else feel that Jon Snow is losing it a little. Over the past few months his interviews have become more and more lame, his voice appears to be suffering and I've lost count of the amount of times he's botched reading from autocue. Time to move on perhaps?

I think his interviews are still generally OK but I do agree with you about his ability to read an autocue. He seems to slip up at some point in every programme I see. The problem for Channel 4 is who to replace him with. Krishnan or Alex Thomson seem like natural heirs, but I think C4 benefits from having a big, well-known name. Maybe they'll eventually poach a big figure from another broadcaster?

I wonder if Samira will be sidelined to basically just the weekend bulletins as I imagine Krishnan will become the regular co-presenter on the 7pm bulletin now News at Noon is axed.

I've never really taken to Alex Thompson as a presenter - yes, he's more than capable, but perhaps a bit too safe.

Doesn't Krishnan do the weekend bulletins currently? When I last regularly watched C4 news back in the summer, Krishnan only presented news at noon part of the week and then did the weekend news

Indeed. I don't see why anyone will be sidelined as a result of the loss of News at Noon. There's still going to be a lunchtime summary and they're keeping the second presenter on the 7:00pm programme. I can't see Krishnan doing 5 nights a week. My guess is they'll just keep it as it is now - Jon Snow as main anchor and second presenters (Krishnan, Alex, Samira etc.) on a rotation.
