Quite an amusing look (
) on Jon Snow's face tonight at the end of C4N after he asked a correspondent a question and cut him off immediately afterwards. Anyone who saw it will know what I mean.
More interesting though was the endcap, which now just says Channel 4 News. Anyone know why the ITN name has now completely disappeared from the programme? This is probably now the only programme on Channel 4 without a production company's name stamped on the end of it.
I noticed that Alex Thompson was introduced on NBC Today as an ITN reporter last week (I know this doesn't really mean anything but it contrasts with the loss of the endcap). Why has Channel 4 disassociated itself from ITN? It's other major production has deteriorated severely in recent times but under the ITV name. Granted it is only a minor thing on-screen but there must be a bigger reason for it.
