Changes in Wales - Sara Edwards to leave

Just watching her first programme on itv local wales and shes taller than Jon! Seems to have dressed down usually - used to seeing her in some formal jackets. I dont know how she got the job she was a awful presenter on TVT and just an average reporter. Surely other presenters already at HTV deserved the job?!

I've just returned to Wales after a few months away- how long as Frances Donovan (a lady I have met) been working for ITV Wales?

I saw her presenting last nights late bulletin and wondered who she was. She looked familiar from somewhere but having hardly ever watched the BBC News I couldnt place her

We need another sports presenter on ITV Wales anyway - Richard Morgan seem to be the only one - what happened to Sam Lloyd?

She seems very nice and pleasant. And she just called the ITV News "The ITN News" on tonights evening bulletin

Overall I like her much better than Andrea who I just havent taken to at all.

Could it possibly be that Andrea Benfield is the worst news presenter on television? She looks so uncomfortable. Someone please put her out of her misery. There's a reason she was known as "Dobbin" in her last job.

Oh I can remember her from her days on Portsmouth TV where due to the company being potless she quickly became the News Editor. She must have an incredible run of luck to have made it so far on so little erm experience

Well now I'm not certain if other ITV regions have started doing this [I know a handful of BBC ones do], but the HTV news are taking to email addresses on the reporter straps now -- should we indulge ourselves in mithering them directly.

Mind you I am not taking to this Kevin and Andrea business. ISTR the ad for the jobs specified a skill in pronouncing Welsh placenames, but now this really only goes so far. It seems quite out of place having presenters with no local connection [or appreciation of historical local news] at all. I can't think of a region in a similar situation to this? How detatched.

Well we have Jane Solomans, former HTV West newsreader/reporter presenting our ITV Wales bulletins this weekend. Ive seen Jane reporting on ITV Wales for quite some time but never seen her read a bulletin before.

She was very good too, one of the better HTV West newsreaders from when I used to watch it!

However ITV Wales News seems to be to have quite a few presenters from other channels/regions at the moment including Andrea who I still havent taken to, whilst there are just a few of the old school HTV News team left there.

Frances used to present the Sport News on News 24 in the early days, as well as stuff on BBC Choice Wales ISTR. Very good, natural, presenter.

Suprised its taken so long, as the BBC News don't seem to like women over 35/40 on TV anymore.

Francis has been reporting/presenting at ITV West for a while. Great presenter who just delivers.
