It was mentioned Jon at the end of tonights programme that Lucy is leaving. Not much of a farewell really considering she has been there such a long time.

Well she fared marginally better than Sara, who had to say bye for herself!

Yeah but they could have shown some old clips or something - she has presented the programme for the past 10 years which is quite a long time really. Im sure when others left such as Alan and Nicola they made more fuss - but then that was in the old days when HTV really was HTV.

We will have to see who joins Jon as co presenter on Monday then.

So has Lucy's replacement been unveiled then?

They are currently advertising the job on the ITV jobs website and the closing date is 2nd November,

Justina Simpson has been presenting Wales Tonight this week with either Jonathan Hill or Kevin Ashford.

Interesting of course that they can't advertise for a female co-host, despite it being pretty obvious that's what they want. I doubt even Huw Edwards would get an interview. Wink

Well now these are my favourite demands HTV are making:

• Proven knowledge of the news agenda in Wales including an ability to pronounce Welsh place names
• Proven ability as a creative writer who can avoid clichés
• Understands the importance of diversity to programme content beyond ‘festival journalism’
• a current driving licence is vital

A rather earnest promo running on BBC Wales at the moment, with lots of nodding of course

Does anyone know if Wales Today is due a new look tomorrow? Because judging by the listings, the flagship show is now going to be fronted by both Lucy Owen and Jamie Owen.

Very good show from Lucy Owen, didn't see much of the Bay backdrop tonight. Wonder, if this will be the same everynight with Jamie Owen too!

So she hosted alone then?

The 1st part of the show was just presented by Lucy, and then the other half both Lucy and Jason Mohammed. Not as stated in the listings though.
