Hmmm I'm not sure Lucy would have 'ascended' any further. Nice voice, I wish she was a national. Perhaps she prefers being a regional presenter in her home town?

Erm, actually Wales is a Nation not a Region

Depends on your definition of 'nation'. Wales isn't an independent country, it's a region of the UK.

The BBC defines Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as 'Nations' and The North East, The Westcounry etc as Regions.

Erm, actually it's a principality. It's VERY PC to refer to Wales as a nation. The Welsh undoubtedly are a distinct and rightly proud people but "nation" overlooks the political reality. Truth is it's an occupied territory and has been for the thick end of a thousand years. What's Welsh for "pedant"?

The Welsh for 'Pedant' is '`Pedant' from 'Pedantig' meaning .... well you get the rest.... Rolling Eyes

The editor of ITV Wales will be peeved - he was very proud of his main presenting pair and their national stints. I wonder what the Beeb have promised her to get her to move? Is there room for another Welsh girl on the BBC Breakfast sofa?

What a shame. Always liked Sara Edwards, and am sure it has a lot to do with age..................again.

Did i spot Sara sporting a pair of JEANS on tonight's Wales Today?

She walked across the studio at the end, gave a stare at the celing and a quick glance around at the studio before moodily putting her papers on the desk.

It all seemed quite moving - was that her last day?

She's worn jeans before on WT , when she had a good figure in her younger days, it was worth a look. Smile

Tomorrows her final show , will we get some " Peter Finch " type histrionics as Sara wrecks the studio. It'd make a change.

Actually its both. Wales is a nation, plus a region of the UK.

I wonder when Lucy's final Wales Tonight will be?
