Major changes on both Wales' English language news programmes.

Long-serving BBC Wales Today presenter Sara Edwards leaves and "is said to have other projects in the pipeline" with BBC Wales.

And is to be replaced within a few months by ITV Wales and occasional ITV News presenter Lucy Owen

Good news there then , old Sara is long due the boot imo. Disappointed that once again they have to go over to ITV for a presenter, couldn't they have chosen someone from BBC Wales instead. I thought Lucy's star was in the ascendant at ITV and she was going further than just Cardiff . Didn't she have a flat in London for work with ITN ?

Hmmm I'm not sure Lucy would have 'ascended' any further. Nice voice, I wish she was a national. Perhaps she prefers being a regional presenter in her home town?

Lucy will also be presenting X-ray (the welsh watchdog) along side her husban Rhodri. The Welsh Richard and Judy?

May have to watch BBC Wales sometime if Lucy is moving to there Shocked

I wonder who is going to replace her as the main presenter on ITV Wales Tonight? I think either Justina or Juliet.

Well how odd that will be having Lucy on BBC Wales -- quite openly admitting there mind you that HTV news isn't anywhere near as important as WT on that article.

Does 'along with' mean the same as 'along with, and at the same time as' ? <ponder>

I can see Lucy suiting X-Ray but not WT for some reason.

Ooo well its all so sudden.

Is Claire Summers still at BBC Wales? I would have thought she would have been a good successor - hey ho.

Erm, actually it's a principality. It's VERY PC to refer to Wales as a nation. The Welsh undoubtedly are a distinct and rightly proud people but "nation" overlooks the political reality. Truth is it's an occupied territory and has been for the thick end of a thousand years. What's Welsh for "pedant"?
