Unfortunately, I think that as the move from Nottingham has happened to save money, it seems highly unlikely that money would be spent designing two different sets.
I haven't seen many CN East caps on here in the years I've visited TVF, so I'd guess the answer is no. You could try watching it here though http://www2.itv.com/central/news_east/. Poor quality, though it'll give you an idea.
When is the BBC moving into the new Mailbox studio (is it the mailbox studio)?
It'll be a studio in The Mailbox.
In the autum
25th October 2004 is the latest date I have...
I understood it was the 30th as they needed time to play with the new equitment.
The 30th is a Saturday so maybe the 1st November.....I think it may go into next year...
I thought the Beeb lose the lease of Pebble Mill at the end of 2004, they would have to be out by Nov/Dec latest ?
Has anyone else, besides 'yours truly' looking at the WM setup, been down to the Mailbox yet?
I would've thought last weekend was the best time, for most people, unless you're all waiting for MT to move in !
Any news on this 'drama' studio yet ? ( I heard it's somewhere in south Brum !)
I do hope I was half asleep earlier this week, but I could've sworn Mollie said, she was giving away a loo roll one day next week!
I know BBC Local Radio budgets aren't that impressive, but surely she's taking the p*** ?
(Great comedy moment today, the compo was to do with the anniversary of liquid soap , so 'name a person, place or saying connected with soap / household cleaner type product, so you had the likes of 'Jif Richard' etc mentioned, until someone mentioned 'Cif-phylis'(the disease, why ?), on the text, & Mollie being Mollie read it out !
)
Yesterday morning, we got LDN at 625am.
Who wasn't awake/didn't press the right button etc ?
There wasn't even an apology either from Sameena at 655am. Did anyone actually know?
'Highlight' of the week : 'Lady Sharuna of Pebble Mill'

Half the time they have no idea whats happened and continue to talk away. Although if Kay is on there is usually an apology, oh how I miss her tender legs, sorry I, well imagine, what, I AM NOT A PERVERT although
I think it will be lot better when they join WM at the Mailbox, because I can't explain it, but knowing both BBC local telly & WM belong together, it's missing that certain something at the moment.
(Occasionally listening to that p**t, Richard Bacon on 5 Live, which still comes from the PM radio studios, ain't the same!)
As a Central News West viewer, I don't see why they are going to all of the fuss for Central News East.
I can understand them having to fit Central news East in, but why are they wasting time with halving the studio?
It has disrupted Central News West, and CiTV, why couldn't East have just taken the studio currently Used for the virtual bulletins? I know it;s not that big, but it would have fitted a desk or sofa in, just about!
And it would have caused a problem of CiTV rehersals (though that hasn't shown't since January!), for daytime bulletins.
