Try last Friday's bulletins on "you know where". The new backdrop started this Monday. Be quick though, because last Friday's bulletins will be over-written tomorrow!

Don't where else you could find them... TV Ark perhaps Confused

Sadly, I'm sure that last week's CNE's had the Leicester backdrop, when I checked them out online Sad (I take it, it's a weekly rotation?)

I hope that TV Ark does have the appropriate captures. I'll have to wait until 25th Dec to find out, though! Ho hum

I not sure how often they used to change it. At first it was just the Leicester one, then they did a weekly rotation, after that they stuck with the Sneinton backdrop-- although the Leicester used to crop occasionally.

I think there's a "Meeting Room" I've heard of at Gas Street, which backs up as a spare new studio (not sure if that's true)... this may be the one that has the rarely-used Leicester backdrop? Confused

Why would they have a seperate studio just for a diff backdrop? They can change it on their projection.

What I meant was that the spare studio has a different backdrop to the main CNE studio. I believe CNE occasionally use the "Meeting Room" for its bulletins for whatever reason (perhaps while maintenance work is carried out in the main studio), and the projector screen is set up with the Leicester backdrop (obviously this is changed if CNW use this studio).

The main CNE studio generally uses a Nottingham backdrop, although I'm sure they have used the Leicester one there in the past for a change though.

Here is a perfect example of how the seats have gone:

Could someone send that off to Dan Barton? I don't think he would listen to me anymore.

Central West and East should swap studios, East's looks much better and has a better projection screen. Afterall, West is the most important region!

Surely they should have studios of equal quality? Laughing

As a trivial point... I notice in the credits of CNE, Editor Alan Rook has become "Head of News"-- I wonder why the change in title? Has Dan Barton become "Head of News" or is he still slumming it as "Editor" Wink

Why is West the most important? Just because Central is based in Birmingham not Nottingham?

Yes, it also has the biggest audience, better presenters, slightly larger studio, the home of ITV Central, in the UK's 2 city etc... and where Central continuity used to come from...
