Llew starts the new look weekend bulletins on Oct 28, but they have been pan-regional for a few weeks now.
I still don't think they are quite there with the view yet. They need someting going on, like a road or walkways at the bottom. They are heading the right place but ending up in the wrong place if you know what I mean. Interesting!
Goodness - don't those sets look like they are in a broom-cupboard?
(But the same is true of Meridian, who went from decent sized studios on three sites, to three tiny boxes on one site...)
Yes, I know I have said this before, but go back to launch, and CNW looked much bigger... ]http://www.geocities.com/cbregionbabes20/sjm_131004_006.jpg

But they have moved the seating forward, so everything looks more cramped. I just don't know why they have changed it.

They may have moved the seating forward to improve the lighting. You usually need around 6 feet between projectors and people if you want to light the people nicely AND avoid washing out the projector screens.
In not much more than a couple of years, I'm sure itv regional news will have been, or very soon to be, dumped I'm afraid!
I agree, AFAIK ITV regional news is only an analogue-licence requirement, so when Central goes over to digital in a few years.... I can't see ITV voluntarily keeping regional news going.

Ahh, never thought of that, but it seemed okay when the seating was nearer.
The seats look wrong though aswell now. Since early this year, they got worse and looks out of shape. From the right camera angle they main seat looks scruffy. They must have swapped them with CNE when they were out of the studios.
