What does that mean?

Pretty. Pleasant to look at, or attractive or charming in a delicate way.

Purty.

Thanks!

Howdy partner! Purty, is an quaint mid-west/deep-south Americanism for pretty I think.

CentralWest, do think CNW's editorial improved when Dan Barton took charge? He recall when he transfer from Nottingham he took several presenters with him: Jonathan Ray (now Head of PR at Uni of Nottm), Sarah-Jane Mee and Llewlla (sp?) Bailey-- so he can't have been that unpopular!

Yes, at first. I was really happy to see Llew back at West. SJM is one of the best at Central.
We got our double headers back, a proper studio and fantastic graphics and music. The programme was also thinned out, less newspaper and business news and more straight to the point news and features, which is what CN is about.

Things went down hill last few years. But at last CNW is looking good again. We just need a few more Live OB's now.

Llewella is the face of the "New look Weekend Central News"
October 28

Very showbiz style promotion, and like the sparkly lights on the stairs in the studio. Didn't realise they had to go down stairs to get to the studio, thought it was on the ground floor?!

Wonder whats happening to Michelle Robinson? Hope she stays at Central.

That's interesting. No mention of this on CNE (unless they have mentioned it today). Perhaps Rajiv Poppat wasn't keen on travelling to B'ham every weekend Confused

Llewella (thanks for the correct spelling) is ideal to do the new joint weekend CNE/CNW bulletins, given that she has yo-yoed between the two sub-regions over the years!! Laughing

Strange this weekend. CN sub regional bulletins coming from the CNE studio... Also sounds of work going on in the background on the late Central Weather...

The Lunchtime bulletin also had the old music at the end...

Does it matter which studio broadcasts the sub regional bulletins, as long as the correct studios are used for the main bulletins, or are all sub regional/GMTV bulletins supposed to come from the West set by default?

It doesn't but its very unusual. The last time a sub regional programme used the east set was when they done work last time, when they was out of the West studio.

They probably use the west because its bigger.

Nice view of Brum and the bullring.

Also must not be planning to change the daytime view, as that was modified today:

Do the new weekend CNW/CNE bulletins starting from Oct 28 co-incide with the launch of Thames Valley service and other changes to ITV plc regions (like the split for Calendar )? Or are they at a later date?

BTW do CNW feature any other cities other than Birmingham in its backdrop?!
