UK Radio Aid is taking place on Monday across the UK commercial radio network between 6am and 6pm.

Each hour will have news bulletins and headlines every 30 minutes, read by 'big name' newsreaders from TV and radio.

The newsreaders' schedule is as follows:

0600 Sandy Warr
0700 Jon Snow
0800 Jon Snow
0900 John Suchet
1000 John Suchet
1100 John Brunning
1200 Fiona Bruce
1300 Kirsty Young
1400 Chris Rogers
1500 Nicholas Owen
1600 Bob Friend

Excellent newsreader lineup. I'm sure the 12 hour programme aside, many smaller stations will love having Jon Snow et al reading the news on "their station."

It's really good that all commercial radio are doing this, including LBC (which they've been trailing at great length)

Would I be correct in assuming that the regional bulletin follows straight after the 00 bulletin, because surely not many stations take IRN, followed by their own news normally, during the day.

I don't recall Beacon ever doing that, & I did listen regulary between 92 & 97 !

I believe that local stations have 3 inserts during breakfast and 2 during daytime hours to do local news or to use that time to discuss local fundraising.

I didn't think every single commercial station was taking UKRadioAid and certainly TalkSport aren't, but then I believe they have the exclusive ball-by-ball rights to the test match.

Correct. From 6-9am: three minute local windows at xx:20 and xx:40 plus five minutes at xx:55. From 9am-6pm: 5 minutes each at xx:25 and xx:55.
