EDIT: The US gets a Round-up sponsorship sting, we don't get such luxury...
Think re-broadcasters in the UK have to avoid the sponsorship elements within US news shows don't they? (Breaks Ofcom sponsorship rules?)
That's why Sky Tx it at 0030, so they can chop out sponsors etc.
I always thought that Sky took a feed from CBS that was 6 hours behind UK time hence being broadcast at 00.30, instead of 11.30 like NBC Nightly News on CNBC.
Although I do remember the BBC NC showing ABC World News ages ago with the sponsors still in, ie 'Presented by Audi' and all that kinda stuff.
Sky take the PST (EST-3 hours, GMT -8 ) feed, time delayed usually (hence LIVE ES/DT on the graphics) and then chop it about to remove sponsors.
You would never think it was edited though, they do it so seamlessly, unlike ABC World News on the BBC NC, that's just a mess. Whoever edits that before it goes out, should be sacked.
