KTVK the independent sister station to KPHO (CBS) in Phoenix got an impressive set.

I think the interview area may go where that little rostrum is along the catwalk. Likely they’d bring it in and out as needed.

Unfortunately I can't see no interview area.
But ticks all the boxes for a US news set.

For those that may be interested, Jeff Glor shared some new images of Studio 47 at the CBS Broadcast Center last week. It has been gutted and rebuilt, I can assure you.

it looks good. especially since CBS is notoriously frugal. Sadly i dont think they will broadcasting from the new newsroom. Somethings dont look camera read. There is no "studio lighting. And the space that was formerly were the anchor desk was is now desks. Kinda what CNN did when they first moved out of their gargantuan newsroom to Studio7. They renoveated the whole thing and razed the studio area fore more desks. They likely will have a DTL area with PTZ camera. And Im sure if they need to go on air for a special report, there is space to to do that. But there is no fancy signage. They kept the old CBS sign that was there, they have an stainless steel CBS eye logo and some painted franchise logos along the left under the tv's. Not very tv friendly in my opinion. Will nice to see it completed. Especially seeing the cool studio NBC carved out at 30Rock.

Well, from the pictures, things aren't fully completely. I think it's too early to say what it will look like before we see the final product.

Hard to imagine that CBS would renovate a studio/newsroom to look that nice (so far) and then not use it for any purpose on-air. It is only partially finished and it already looks lightyears better than the Couric-era newsroom.
It seems a little ambiguous as to whether the Evening News would move back into that space after a nearly two year absence. There were some rumblings elsewhere that CBS was looking to redo it and move CBSN into it. But that was a while ago.
For what it's worth, the Evening News barely shows much of Studio 57 right now. Glor is at the desk in tight shots in front of the video wall for most of the broadcast – he could be anywhere or nowhere.

I think if it wasn’t wasn’t meant to be on camera in some sort they wouldn’t have the CBS News banner with what looks like TVs behind the Cronkite map. Maybe it will be used for a newsroom position. They also updated their live shot position for affiliates it appeared on GMT yesterday on the left side of the shot is a vertical flat panel with the CBS Eye, in the middle is the correspondent and on the right you can see what looks to be satellite ingest (multiviewers showing a bunch of feeds).
I do find the triangular ceiling mounted TVs peculiar especially when everyone in the center will be able to see the dozen or so on each side.

The reason they aren't showing much of 57 is due to producers tinkering with the show due to low ratings

I keep seeing an area for studio lighting in that one photo facing the beige walls. So, it is possible that the CBS Evening News will move back into Studio 47.
