ABC World News by far the nicest of those sets IMO. Don't mind the Rockcentre version of the NBC set, but the Nightly News version just seems a bit dark. ABC's set is nice and bright yet still appropriate.

Which version? The current set they are using is #2.

Either or really - they're not exactly significantly different.

One of those pictures that you identified as the Rock Center side of 6B is actually the Nightly News side, just with Rock Center graphics.

NEW! - SET DEBUT - WCPO 9 CINCINNATI
I really like this set. Its bright clean and modern. Hate Channel 9's logo. But its a good effort. Not the slightest hint of wood.
Read more about tech used on the new set.

Very similar to KGTV in San Diego...

Not surprising, as the station's owned by the same people and the set was designed by the same company.

Note that, in the right side of the desk, there's the logo for Scripps, the station's owner (headquartered in Cincinnati).

SCRIPPS has been doing that on their sets. Not a fan. I was surprised actually how "subtle" the WCPO treatment was.
Not so with this one....

WDIV - 4 DETROIT - SET MAKE-OVER - SUCCESSFUL???
Local 4, Detroit's NBC station had a make-over. What do you think of the changes? It think its somewhat successful. They culled the wood from the set and brightened it up. Pretty good cost-effective make-over. The current set can now extend its life for another 5 or 6 years. It brings WDIV into line with current tv trend of lighter brighter sets.
