Your are right about WPIX 11. I guess thats why I hate it so much when it premiered, because there is no excuse for the #1 market have such rubbish sets. Wausaw/Rhinelander is market #134!!!! 134! And I think those sets are great. Simple clean and modern. They did mess up though in the interview area, the camera angles are super funky and awkward. Of course the graphics are ehh and theme music is super dated.

WTXL - Tallhassee FL (Capital of Florida) This is a case where even if you can...... should you? Ehh. They "built" a downtown streetfront studio to supplement their regular studios. Even has a mini control gallery. Dont know what it looks like on air. Lighting/Sound issues....Very simple elements. Likely a rented storefront or lobby. Quite simple.

Simple but much nicer than most the sets you post here, though as you say what it looks like on screen will be interesting as I suspect they'll be awkward shots of half the plasma screens then the gap above the sofa.

WLS 7 - Chicago (ABC) They are about the debut their new set in a few minutes. The set is similar to WABC but without the huge desk logo. They shifted and flip-flopped things. The anchor desk seems to move toward where the weather centre was. And instead of being directly facing the street it now faces at an angle. Leaving more room for the weather centre and the interview soft set. It looks good on air. Nice and bright. I think the lighting it superb. Audio is a little strange. Slightly echo-ey IMO. Overall nice job from JACK MORTON and BLACKWALNUT. Now hopefully WGN and WBBM will get their acts together.

Obviously teething difficulties. You can cancel a newscast on a weekend if there are severe technical difficulties and the majority of viewers won't notice. But if you cancel the weeknight version you will get loads of complaints.
At least they were able to get the newsroom cam running. Did the part from the newsroom include full graphics?
WLS's 10 p.m. newscast is being anchored from the newsroom tonight.
EDIT: And now they are on the new set again. Wonder what happened?

It included lower-thirds but no OTS graphics.
