WOFL- Fox Orlando launches a FX Set. Dont like this. UGh. That huge hideous FOX logo. Look like they were sorta copying the KTTV -LA's ugly set with that massive logo. This set is a disjointed mess. Ive seen worse. But after the launch of the nice in Indy by FX, im shocked at the this goose-egg. Thumbs down.

You beat me to it! A shame they haven't stuck with Devlin for this one - but obviously they think that LA and Orlando need something more 'in your face'.
The only consolation is that it's not quite as bad as KTTV.
Hopefully when they come to give the newly-acquired KTVU in San Francisco a much-needed new set, they'll go with Devlin.
Another Fox station to move away from the dated O&O set - at least in the mornings (for now). This is WTTG in Washington DC's new 'loft' set for Good Day DC, which they unveiled this week...
They're promoting it with the tagline 'welcome home', which I'm pretty sure was CBS's slogan in the 90s.
When i watched this i threw up in my mouth a little. So cheesy. So wrong. The lighting on this set is horrific. The upper reaches around the tops of the walls is so dark it almost could pass for a night time feel except for the daytime duratrans. Ugh. Boring.
It certainly looks like the Fox O&Os are going in very different directions as they ditch the old mandated sets one by one.
The newly-acquired KTVU in San Francisco must be due a new set soon after getting the O&O graphics recently - but looks like there's no predicting what kind of design they'll go for.
I hope so. Months ago, the presenters were joking about how much they need a new set and the fact that their backdrop doesn't even include the new World Trade Center tower.
WNYW is the only New York station not to have updated their set in the past 5 years (WPIX has even had two new sets in that time).
I have to say that, while New York stations generally have pretty decent sets, I don't find any of them particularly stunning or imaginative. All very similar in terms of their use of (mostly static) backdrops of the Manhattan skyline. So I'd love to see WNYW go for something more dynamic.
Its funny how FOX is all over the shop with the O&O stations sets. KTTV - LA got the awful set a little while ago. But WNYW NY and WFLD-CHI still have those hideous mandated sets that have been refreshed to death. WAGA - ATL should be the direction the station group should be going. Unfortunately WFLD is now such a weak affiliate because of staff turnover that virtually there are no recognizable faces left, they probably dont want to spend the money.

Fox should have went with the KSAZ and WAGA style setbthrough out. The WOFL set would look good if they got rid of those stupid producer desk and the giant FOX logo.
