IMO opinion it looses a "sense of place". In the same way there is no mistake that BBC News originates from NBH. CNN was synonymous with CNN Center and Atlanta and its big airy newsroom. Now this messy mish-mash of styles is bad. But that speaks to the direction CNN Domestic is in. It doenst know what it wants to be. Too bad they didnt use that HotSpot in the revamped newsroom to present NewsRoom from. But there are rumors circulating that was also removed for more desks.

Connecticut News Market readies several set launches. Both sets formerly had newsroom backdrops. Those have been closed up. Both sets are fairly simple and clean. LED colour changing walls.

WTIC- FOX CT- This Tribune owned station closed up the wall of the newsroom that is shares with The Courant Newspaper. Again simple set. This set features a hideous, overly complicated desk, the proportions seem off. Maybe its the chairs. Dont understand the old fashioned black glass computer covers. Seems clunky to have those three black boxes on the white desktop. Plus to use that odd cream coloured desktop. Just odd. Not sure of the colour selection of the LED wall. Maybe they are still testing colours. Not liking the pink and blue. Ehh. (maybe thats only for the AM newscasts) The blue portion of the walls also has motion LEDS, so there is constant movement behind the presenters. Which is fine. But its moving far too quickly. I would imagine they are going to slow down the movement. This is a fairly newer feature many of these color changing LED walls are featuring now. The set also has an odd strip of wood.

WLTV- 23 Univision - new set shares back with Univision network HQ and FUSION network. NewsPort. This set sorta has vibes of the old Sky News Set before the big move. Thoughts.

Couple of more dayside shots.
Im highly impressed by this. Clean bright modern. Even if it has wood. I love the weather center. I love there is barely any on-set branding. Strikingly differen Also how the desk can be rotated to have the news room as the backdrop. But it can be obscured as well with the frosted panels. Graphics are clean and photo intensive and features a simple arrow design. Well done overal relaunch IMO
They update the graphics treatment as well
