I know this thread seemed pointless when it started, but have to agree with most on here. Carrie Gracie is excelling herself out in China. Her input into N24 and the One today was nothing short of superb. She was interviewing chinese people in chinese then translating it for the viewers. The banter with Simon McCoy was also entertaining. She also co-presented the One, or at least shared the intro with Kate. Let's hope we see more of her on BBC over the coming weeks.
A year or so back Carrie did several nights presenting Radio 4's The World Tonight. They seem to have been hunting for a presenter to deputise for Robin Lustig forever. Julian Worricker and David Eades have also presented.

Isn't her husband a Chinese pop star? I always presumed she wasn't on fulltime because she chose not to be. But her interviews in China were great viewing so I hope she is used more to explain the country.
