I have noticed some past remarks in this forum regarding Carrie Gracie as being not the best of TV News Announcers.
No1. She is word perfect, hardly ever falls over her words.
No2. Her accent is clear, pleasant & warm.
No3. Her controlled humour is excellent.
No.4. She appears to be very knowledgeable on varying topics.
No5. She is also one very attractive Lady.
No6. And no, I do not know her and have not met her, mores the pity.

Strange that this thread comes about on the day which has seen Barry George found not guilty of murdering Jill Dando. Looks like we are coming closer to finding the real culprit.

Given the circumstances surrounding Barry George today, I think it's a bit soon to be making jokes like that.

I think Carrie is an excellent reporter, she should definately be made a special correspondent. She does have the specific knowledge for China though, I think she has studied Mandarin after her degree at Oxford.
