C4 News at Noon using old graphics

Watching C4 News at Noon I knew something didn't look right - it was the astons / live bug.

They were using the old versions from last year, complete with old C4 logo.

Don't know why - it seems a very strange mistake!

I've just noticed it too. How very odd.

New titles used to close. Weather map and backing graphics remained the same.

Just the on-screen graphics which seemed to revert. Does seem a very odd mistake to make mind.

Hopefully they've woken up to the fact that the new straps are a pile of ****, and have reverted back.

Doubtful, but we can hope.

Maybe the design template file was accidentally deleted or de-selected.
I remember when ITN brought in their new branding in 1995 (the blue and yellow or red, 'corporate' look) their captions reverted a couple of days later back to the 'old' Palatino-based silvery-blue backed aston straps. Maybe someone who had just returned from annual leave had not been briefed as to how to access the new graphics, and the old ones had been left available, and that left to their own devices had to use what was available.

Funnily enough, saw the start of the 7pm Ch4 News the other night and they had "News at Noon" in big letters on the screen behind...!
