Business on News24

Unfortunately parts of the BBC dont seem to understand the importance of Business News as Business Today is soon to be axed, enjoy it while you can!!!

Said who?

A specially produced bulletin by BBC World for the Heathrow Express train service in London.

It's a TV Programmes decision, and is one of the ways the business unit is making its Thompson cuts.

So that means we have next to no extended business reports and the others being at obscure times. I hope this is just some rumour.

It's not.

Domestic BBC channels are awful at providing business news. There's a business "chat" on N24 every hour, a couple of editions of WBR, which they nick from World, and Working Lunch on BBC2. Compare that to ten years ago, when BBC1 featured a whole hour of business news in Business Breakfast. They also had The Money Programme as well as Working Lunch.

BBC World is far better for business news -- a proper business bulletin every hour, with regular editions of WBR througout the day. I can't believe N24 is scrapping Business Today. There'll be practically no business news left!

That's what I was thinking and the only other main business programmes will be at obscure times. Why can't they have a detailed business programme in the early evening where the majority can watch it?

The Business loop on interavtive tv is also being axed.

And what's going there instead?

Oh wait don't tell me. Interactive TV trailer looped.
This is apauling. Just what does News 24 think its doing.
If they're axing Buisness Today is there going to be another programme?
Like BUISNESS BREAKFAST.

What Business is going to be left at this rate.
