Just seems to make sense to have it all in one rather than scattered through the threads...
Firstly - ITV News - great it's back on ITV, but really they could have put some effort in to making it at least feel a bit special. We got a nice logo - and that's about it.
That said though, why are the BBC's budget graphics always so hideous? Also, anyone know what coverage of the Budget is, and as far as I can remember, always has been on BBC2.
Yes, nowadays it's less disruptive to the schedule and the one o'clock news, but considering with other events they always try and get them on BBC1 rather than BBC2, it's surprising the Budget, a key event of the political year, has always been on BBC2.
And probably more suited to the rebranding thread, but the studio looked great on the BBC (Daily Politics studio I assume) - and IMO it could really work for the Ten o'clock News or especially for Newsnight, saving a bit of the studio shifting that's going on at the moment.
And Dermot Murnaghan on Sky seems to be doing a great job - he's probably the person I most associate with the Budget with him anchoring most of ITN's programmes from the mid-90's through to him moving to the BBC.
