Was the BBC running three different programmes on N24, BBC Two and Parliament, or did they all have David Dimbleby presenting and just used different graphics?
Interesting view of the budget. I'm glad that ITV News have actually used the full wall for once (even though they had the background twice, as they do with the usual squares) instead of the blue floatings.
I don't think they should have gone for that yellow - orange clash though.
Even though they have yellow in the logo, the prominent colour should always be blue!
I didn't think the ITV graphics were up to much, but Alastairs little VR pieces were nice.
As for Sky News, I did like the way that they had the little symbols, some may have said, no need, but I thought that they were a nice addition!

BBC TWO was the only channel to carry dedicated Budget analysis programming. N24 did some pre-amble to it, but interspersed with other news stories, then carried the speech in full, and cut away before the opposition parties offered their reactions, referring viewers to BBC PARLIAMENT. Meanwhile, PARLIAMENT carried nothing but the usual live feed of the Commons with the standard astons.
N24 used its own graphics, interspersed with occasional 'highlights' graphics in the "BUDGET '05" style, but only the programming on TWO was in the full BUDGET '05 style, and with full and dedicated analysis. N24 returned to other stories as often as possible throughout the day.
This maybe wrong, but I thought the clock face classified the programme - like when The Ten is at 10.45, they still use the '10' titles, rather than unbranded.
I would have thought that even it was at 6.25, it still would have been The Evening News, which uses the 6.30 clockface Like once we had the Weekend News at 10.30, but they didn't use the 10.30 titles...

Well it would have looked stupid if the clock hand hit 6.30 if it was only 6.25. Most broadcasters usually revert to generic titles if the bulletin is scheduled for a different time than the titles show.
