The ITV Player has todays GMB & Lorraine uploaded as it played out, so you have 'Lorraine' coverage 08:35-10:30

9:20-10:30 coverage has also been uploaded to ITV News' YT channel (presumably this was a live stream due to the image at the end of the video, but I'm not sure)

In France, i>TELE and BFMTV have sent their senior presenters to anchor from Brussels. I'd assume the same for LCI as well.

The main 20H bulletins on TF1 and France 2 along with M6's Le 19.45 were from Paris.

Huw Edwards in Brussels for BBC News at Ten.

Recalled from his holidays no doubt.

Huw isn't on holidays. He presented yesterday's Five

Even though Fiona did the Ten. Peculiar.

The TV5MONDE DOG has gone black, with the regional name underneath removed.

I dare say it's been mentioned in the thread for GMB but itv have extended it to run until 1030. Is this the first time the breakfast franchise (which is I think still legally separate) has been extended beyond its 0925 off air time?

Not sure if it's been mentioned but TV-AM stayed on air for the incident where a British Airtours plane caught fire during taxi at Manchester Airport in 1985. This is largely because ITN and Granada were both unable to get to the scene due to traffic round the closed airport so the IBA obviously ruled exceptional circumstances.

No. It happened regularly when ITV had the Formula 1 rights (think it was F1 that caused the issue). Some live races were during the GMTV franchise hours (and that was when GMTV was a separate non-ITV plc company). ITV and GMTV came to a deal that allowed ITV to show the F1 during GMTV hours, and in return GMTV could broadcast later (during ITV's airtime) as a quid-pro-quo.

A very different reason of course, but it did mean GMTV went past their normal 0925 cut-off time.

Tom Bradby presented ITV News at Ten from Brussels. No back up presenter in London that I saw, so Tom presented the one and only domestic story about Osborne.

That seems to have been the standard lately - I don't think the Paris broadcasts had a studio host, certainly not those at the weekend anyway.

For one story it's probably the right call, though presumably someone would be around for London Tonight anyway, though I suspect only Nina or Charlene would likely be used from the London rota if the main ITV presenters weren't being used.

Although ITV is almost one giant company now over the UK, what would have stopped STV saying "no ta" and opting out at 09:25? Surely an agreement would be made to afford ITV/STV their 65 mins back from ITV Breakfast?

Why? If the ad breaks went out as normal, I doubt stv would care. The only difference now a days is instead of a itn news special, gmb can be shown instead.

But it wouldn't be STV's ads would it? They'd lose slots.
