A few decades ago the broadcasters would have had 'bouncers' to 'deal' with these people. Even in the 90s at an OB I witnessed a floor manager pick some irritating idiot up, and dump him the other side of a barrier.

Yep, when I worked in news they'd often employ some security for some lives from a company called Showsec.

PM on Sophy Ridge tommrow - yesterday it was reported Number 10 were talking with Andrew Mar's production team about her appearing on Marr but that doesn't seem likely now.

Corbyn too! Sky has bagged them both tomorrow.

The PM will probably be at Sky News. Jeremy will be LIVE from his living room.

Looking forward to seeing this interview although I'm expecting the PM to repeat the same sort of remarks as she gave in the press conference earlier this week.

Sky seem very excited about it though, the interview tomorrow has been "Breaking News" on the ticker since lunchtime... Couldn't they have a coloured section on the regular ticker for this sort of non-Breaking News which appears more regularly in between the regular news stories?

There's a reason she's called the "Maybot"!

I think the term 'Breaking News' became meaningless on Sky News many years ago, due to overuse.
There was a time when a 'breaking news' strap would make me stop what I was doing and pay attention, now I just ignore it.

When something is still breaking news 12 hours after it happened... it's hardly breaking any more is it?

Dominic Raab, Shami Chakrabati & Nicola Sturgeon on Marr.

If you want to sell your Brexit deal why hide away on Sky?

Probably because she knows she'd get a very public grilling by Marr on BBC One! Better to hide away on Sky News where most people won't see her.

I'd argue it wasn't ever 'breaking' - if it's anything it should be a "News Alert"

The Pledge is on now and there is a "Make Debates Happen" strap onscreen throughout now too. I'd say that less is more for this sort of thing - having it plugged constantly surely erodes the effectiveness of any campaign?

I recall this many years ago with a "Press Red for Active" strap (or something similar) - it's presence was maddening after the first week!

The BBC and ITV will clip up the good bits anyway.

I wasn't just referring to this, just in general anyway, far too often stuff is still "breaking" hours later.

Surely it'd be better for her to have the whole interview to be seen than a few choice moments where she messes up.

You’re all suggesting that Sky (and Peston when he was on) should never get the big guests, they should always go on Marr?

I can predict now what May, Corbyn and Sturgeon will all say
