Does anyone else feel the same as I do about this. That is I am sick and tired of Brexit. I know its important but its become a national obsession. Having said that though and returning to the forum focus BBC and Sky have once again been first class in the coverage.

Really? Even though the aptly named Outside Source had problems cutting to its Outside Sources earlier for the PM's statement. Laughing

Is another reminder really necessary? This thread is not for repeatedly airing your political persuasions. There's a relevant thread over on Metropol and many other places available.

It is very hard indeed when you have a thread named "Brexit Dramarama" and not to air your views when posting a comment. Inadvertently views will in some way seep through, and it becomes harder to be balanced and unbiased. I think there is a line where we do cross over, yes by all means stop us. Very hard, considering this event will affect all of us.

Now, I made ONE comment about Mrs May as Prime Minister. Looking back on my comments on here I never went political, and just ONE comment I made, inadvertently my views came through, and I have been slapped with a warning. I to be honest feel that is very unfair. If I persistently used this thread to issue my views, indeed you would be correct to warn me, but after just one comment on this process. I am sorry, I feel that is a bit harsh.

Tom Bradby clearly getting more fed up with it by the night.

Much talk about election debates but not sure PM statements should go by unchallenged - no opportunity it seems for the press to challenge her statement tonight.

The tone of the coverage has really changed in the last couple of weeks - very much turning into coverage of a national crisis (even Downing Street call it a crisis now) rather than a political debate.

I'm not a BBC basher by any means, but I can't quite believe that they thought this was worthy of broadcast

What does it add to the story? Bloke who doesn't talk to the media refuses to talk to the media.

I'm amazed the Editors chose to show it, it's just amateurish. There was no way he was going to answer those questions, which anybody familiar with the role of Speaker should have known.

Indeed, this seems to be a new culture to interview politicians and public figures, while they are travelling to/from work. Seems to extend from beyond the other fairly pointless idea of shouting questions at them as they emerge from their front door. A couple of weeks ago John Pinnaer grabbed Tom Watson as he walked across Westminster Bridge. Perhaps it's a little different, but if a client etc did that to me while I wasn't at my place of work etc, I'd tell them to F-off

Sadly some journalists, usually political ones, think they have this entitlement that they can do what they want because they are journalists.

Christian Fraser presenting from Brussels. I'm assuming this is his first BBC One appearance excluding weekend/holiday bulletins?

Was semi regular on breakfast in 2016-2018, has also done at least one set of weekend evening bulletins and I think he's presented the one on location before.
