Well BBC News made a right hash of the start of that statement!

Appalling. Whatever happened to news outlets receiving a one minute warning?

It was the fact they seemed unable to cut away from Ben Brown outside 10 Downing Street, so he was forced to duck down out of the shot while we heard the PM talking. Laughing

It was even more amusing when they cut to Ros at the screen who seemed to shrug his shoulders! Laughing

That was the biggest waste of time since Oneness.

Certainly the right call not to disrupt Beeb 1 and 2, and ITV

Sophie Raworth did present a News Report on BBC One. Holby City ended, wheelchair ident with CA and straight to Sophie.

She was very clever with her words though.

'We will now not leave on 29th March with a deal'.

She hasn't infact ruled out the UK isn't leaving as planned. Remember unless the 27 all agree to the extension, Brexit Day is still on course for 11pm next Friday unless article 50 is revoked (which is highly unlikely).
News96, London Lite and watchingtv gave kudos

I think it's quite evident from the last few days that journalists that have dedicated their lives to covering politics really do despair at what is going on and can't believe the situation they're having to cover. Must say though the coverage has really stepped up a gear in recent weeks from all the news providers and the political journalists at the heart of bringing us the coverage have really proved their worth.

Only saw ITV's coverage tonight so don't know if others have mentioned the possibility of France Vetoing any extension.

Does anyone else feel the same as I do about this. That is I am sick and tired of Brexit. I know its important but its become a national obsession. Having said that though and returning to the forum focus BBC and Sky have once again been first class in the coverage.

I agree to a point. I wish it was sorted but it's the biggest issue facing the country in a generation

And the fact that News Specials are still on the schedule for Friday Week too-If France (and possibly Spain and Belgium) say no to the request for an extension tomorrow or Friday, it's game over, especially after tonight's statement.
