To be fair, the statement may well turn out to be nothing, similar to when she was saved by her own party just before Christmas - it told us nothing new.

With that in mind, I can see why the BBC have gambled by putting the Ten on Two. Catches the statement, but it's not a massive deal if it turns out to be nothing new.

Apparently we might see two News At Tens.

Which has just been confirmed in commentary.

Christian Fraser on BBC News has just suggested that the Ten will be delayed because of the football.

The EPG shows the news starting at 22:15 on BBC1 on my TV, which has just been confirmed by Christian Fraser on OS.

Oh bloody hell. The News at Ten is being shown twice tonight on BBC One & Two respectively.

It is on BBC Two first & then a full bulletin will happen later after the Football on BBC One. That is unusual.

So they’ll cover the speech on Two (probs just a News Special) then the Ten on Two?

Is it contractual that the football has to be on BBC1? I think this is a baffling scheduling decision to say the least

I'd really like to think the NC and World will continue with a rolling simulcast rather than the stop-start of the NC taking both Tens.
