No OS on the News Channel this evening, it's a news special double-headed by Christian Fraser in College Green and Ros Atkins in Brussels. It does feel quite UK-focussed so far - is World getting something else?

World and NC are taking the same bulletin.

World has felt quite UK focussed even in hours without a simulcast over the past couple of days.

One thing we did see this afternoon is the difference between a UK PM press conference and a US President press conference. Not once did she shout at a reporter for reporting ‘fake news’ or call out a whole network and their ratings.

Wait until Johnson is in there.

Back to the coverage, and I do think it's great that they have overlapped Christian Fraser and Ros Atkins throughout the evening and shared the anchoring between them, it works really well.

One thing that has been a bit strange during the coverage, especially during Afternoon Live, is when they randomly go to the presenter in the studio without a link from the presenter on location.

Slightly off topic and apologies if this has been answered before, but is the House of Commons still broadcast in standard definition?
Are there any plans to go HD?

BBC NC had the sports news after the Ten but it didn't play with the usual headlines & Sportsday title music.

Martine Croxall was in E with The Papers. Sarah Keith Lucas was doing the weather.

I was also watching the One O'Clock & Six-One on RTÉ One both from yesterday & today. The way they had covered the Brexit deal for the past 2 days has mostly been excellent. I thought the biggest contributor from those news reports today was Séan Whelan who is their Economics Correspondent. He gave a lot of detailed information about what was contained in this deal when he was talking about it with Eileen Whelan on today's One O'Clock news. RTÉ had included some extra information in their business news slot with Adam McGuire, of the RTÉ business staff, who talked about the effect of sterling after the deal was published yesterday.

Fiona Mitchell was covering the Brexit deal events of yesterday & today from College Green very well in Westminster. There was a little presentation issue though with Tommie Gorman on the Six One news from the RTÉ Radio building in Belfast when he tried to talk to Catriona Perry in Studio 3. Tommie's link failed for a few seconds after Catriona was talking to Tony Connelly who was speaking from their studio in Brussels. I have also heard yesterday that Tony Connelly was one of the first journalists to break the news about this deal on Brexit. If that is to be believed; I will give him full credit for doing that yesterday. I thought he did a great job.

NC is now back to domestic coverage with Martine Croxall for the 11pm Bulletin in E.

Brexit & The Papers are the only things that are featured in the TOTH.

I’d quite like May to go full-on Trump to be honest. She’s nothing to lose.

It couldn't make her look any less detatched from reality than she already does.

They didn't even go widescreen until 2002!
