ITV have their fingers crossed then - they were thrashed last night.

BBC News (10pm): 4.86m (31.1%)
Politics Live Special (BBC2, 7pm): 1.88m (9.4%)
ITV News at Ten (ITV, 10pm): 1.7m (11.4%) inc. +1
Newsnight (BBC2, 10.30pm): 0.85m (8.3%)
Channel 4 News (C4, 7pm): 0.80m (4.0%) exc. +1

(Ray Tings on DS)

The preceding programme would have had some impact on the News at Ten ratings.

ITV was showing Pothole Wars, and BBC1 was showing Silent Witness, and I expect the latter got better ratings.

If it had been any other day this week, the ratings could have been different, as ITV is showing new dramas every other day at 9pm.

Is it me, or are the House of Commons pictures now in native HD (as seen on BBC News Channel) ?

Was just about to post the same thing. Deffo clearer than last night.

C4 News seem to still have an SD upconverted feed, but Corbin’s and May’s cameras are HD on the Beeb

Clive Myrie is back on BBC One now for another BBC newsflash.

I bet Gary Lineker was dying to back reference it in some way

The Commons feed on Sky News also looked to be HD.

Can anyone tell me when the 4th BBC1 Newsflash was as I've only counted 3 (the one after Eastenders yesterday and twice tonight.)

PM to make another statement in an hour.

I wonder if the BBC News at Ten will take the statement live?

She’ll have to wait until significantly after ten or else the BBC News will still be in their headline sequence!

... with BBC One showing an FA Cup replay that's currently goalless with 25 minutes to go, with a potential for extra time and penalties.

BBC Two must surely beckon for the football, if it goes beyond the 90 minutes.

EDIT: Southampton are 1-0 up. Auntie's begging them to keep it that way.
