There are four UK EBU representatives, alongside the BBC, ITV is represented by UK Independent Broadcasting(*), other UK members are STV in their own right and S4C.

(*) A catchall for commercial broadcasting. This is now an anachronism in that I'm not aware of any Independent Radio EBU involvement, although in the IBA and Radio Authority days there was some.

Curious, as ITV don't really have an MCR which would be feeding stuff into the EBU. ITN do, mind.

Yes, I'm sure they used to be GBITN. Has ITNs MCR taken over some of the responsibilities that the one on the South bank had, hence the change.

Or is it that ITV is a broadcaster and member of the EBU and ITN isn't?

Indeed, ITV is a member, but not ITN. https://www.ebu.ch/about/members?country=united-kingdom

They're a member of the news exchange: https://www.ebu.ch/eurovision-news/members-and-sublicensees

There was a news update with Clive Myrie after Holby City on BBC One at 9pm.

No Huw on the Ten then, or was Clive in the studio whilst Huw will be at Westminster?

Exactly what's happened. Huw at Westminster, with Clive in the studio. Must admit I'm surprised BBC has utilised everyone today, especially when they seem to have used the same presenters for multiple bulletins recently.

Out of interest, and I know it isn't the most important thing, who's hosting on ITV?

Extended NaT with Tom Bradby at Westminster.

Noticed the feed to the EBU was GBITV does that mean ITV produce the main feed from Parliament.
no, merely that the EBU decided to take their feed of Parliament via ITN. (Was that the service ID, or just how it was identified on the News Event slate?)

BBC and ITN/ITV alternate who is the U.K. provider to the EBU News Exchange, think it’s on a month by month basis. So must be ITV this month.

I’m not surprised, considering it’s the pretty standard set up when they are live at Westminster/Downing Street and indeed it was the same line up yesterday

Probably because Sky provide news to virtually the whole of commercial radio these days via IRN. Sky have never been a member of the EBU (there's no way Rupe would sign up for the establishment), in fact they are signed up to Eurovisions main rival, European News Exchange (ENEX)

They got Babita Sharma on the News Channel but surely News channel should be taking Huw.

ITN is not a member of the EBU, and I don't think ITV is either, judging by the list on their website - https://www.ebu.ch/about/members

You didn't look at that we page very well, they definitely are

I already mentioned that Tom Bradby was presenting the NaT at Westminister tonight. He said that at the end of last night's NaT.

RTÉ One had no extended Nine O'Clock News or Prime Time tonight. They both aired for their usual lengths.

Eileen Dunne presented the Nine O'Clock News from RTÉ Studio 2. That is their temporary studio for RTÉ News.

Fiona Mitchell & Paul Cunningham were in Westminister. Tony Connelly was in Brussels.

On Prime Time. Miriam O'Callaghan was at Westminster. David McCullough was in studio in Dublin.

It was how the channel was labelled GBITV ENC2 I think it was.

I'm not sure if this is the answer but I do know that there is an MCR at ITV's facility at Millbank. As far as I am aware, it is an ITV operation but obviously has some involvement with ITN.
