Switched on Sky News to watch the PM’s statement; the shouting and protesting is making broadcasting from College Green simply impractical.
Would a permanent studio structure that wasn’t entirely in the open really look worse than 30 gazebos with scaffolding everywhere?

With all these events in the past few weeks my viewing of Ch4 News has increased beyond normal. I said a few months or a couple of years ago about how Ch4 needed to move on from the Jon Snow era. The past few weeks of watching Snow still anchor both in the studio and live on location has me wishing and willing Ch4 to pension him off!
Not an edition goes by without him looking at the wrong cameras, losing his place in the script and just generally looking utterly confused by what he is supposed to be doing or who he is speaking to. Tonight, he introduced three politicians, with Nicky Morgan visibly furious, shaking her head and saying "that is not true" before he introduced her and continued to just read the autocue script by default saying she wanted a second referendum. He then went on to mix up the names of the other two politicians present and conduct a fairly ramshackle interview.
Yes it is an ageist comment, but a live news programme like this just cannot be properly anchored by a 71 year old man. It is embarrassing to see the complete contrast in abilities between Snow and Frei in the space of a few mins. It is exactly the same as David Dimbleby, again, someone who has went on well beyond their sell by date but has been kept on to be a 'name' for the programme.

Now that would be one benefit of a hard border.
Whether you voted leave or remain I think one thought is uppermost at this time of year...Don't cancel Mrs Brown's Boys!
Now that would be one benefit of a hard border.

Third live programme from the Millbank studio today as there was a second edition of Politics Live at 1520 today.
Anyway that special programme is on BBC News, it's using the Politics Live graphics.

Three anchors again for Brexit on BBC World News’ Global programme:
Matthew Amroliwala in Studio B.
Philippa Thomas at Westminster.
Kasia Madera in Brussels.

Quite agree. Why do they persist with this? I don't know the legal position but at some stage doesn't it become a breach of the peace? Especially with the protesters using megaphones.
Just seen this:

Police have led off Steve the anti-Brexit placard man outside Parliament

A couple of days ago, he was accused of 'damaging footage'

Sky news is totally unwatchable at the moment with the protesters behind them. Can’t hear a word being said.
