With the exception of the launch of digital TV and DSO which all happened during a labour government, albeit a much less socialist one.

Though it was inevitable technologically and they didn't really have much choice over it

Wasn't the DVB-T launch decision taken under Major though? (The launch happened under Blair, but the ball started to roll under the Tories?)

Wasn't the licensing process for the ONDigital stuff started before the May 1997 election?

There’s going to become a point where it becomes unsuitable broadcasting from outside Westminster. Sky News had an interview there including Owen Jones where he was almost drowned out by calls of “Owen you wanker” from below. Kay had to apologise after.

The BBC has pulled out of holding a Brexit debate between Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

Both the broadcaster and ITV offered to air a debate between the two leaders on Sunday - two days ahead of Parliament's vote on the proposed Brexit agreement.

But the BBC confirmed it "could not reach an agreement" on its proposal.

It is not yet clear what the situation is with ITV's debate.

Well at this rate, they'll be no debate at all if Theresa doesn't accept the ITV Offer (which is looking unlikely).

I'd say the BBC were right on this one - there was no way they could ignore other voices in the position they're in.
