December 9th now a possible date.
Worth clarifying (as you haven’t) that this is a Lib Dem plan.
Their plan would be that the bill, if adopted by Johnson, could be taken through parliament on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Downing Street has suggested Johnson could back LD/SNP plan if FTPA goes down tomorrow (which it likely will.) Big moment.

Without getting into the politics I will be surprised if an extension is vetoed by the French government. The 9th December plan looks like it will have enough to pass if the government back it.

Really don't get why they'd object to the 12th but approve the 9th - 3 days is hardly going to make a difference.
From a broadcasting point of view the election night coverage won't be much different other than not being on a Thursday but the lead up being over the weekend might see the build up be slightly different to normal.

Means no time for it to be a post Brexit election.
Means ITV would have to fit debates around I'm a celeb especially as usually STV, UTV and ITV Wales host their own debates which would need fitting in.
