If an election did happen on the 12th where would the BBC host their coverage? Would Elstree be easy to clear.

If not, what about BT Sport at Stratford ?

Could use a BBC News studio like the EU election

Election coverage from New Broadcasting House could look pretty good. No reason why they couldn't use the radio theatre, DTL camera positions in the newsroom and utilise the OS balcony area for Maitlis interviews.

Would be pretty cool if they had the means to clear some of the desks away in the newsroom pit and plonk a temporary desk/setup in there. Could make great use of the trundle cam and throw to updates in studio E. Appreciate that would cause some disruption.

It would be very ITN 1997, they used their atrium then to good effect ?

Coincidentally, some of World programming (Talking Business and Impact) has been operating out of Studio C on some days this week, as opposed to the normal Studio B.

Which means B is either being used by Lucy Hockings and Aaron Heslehurst for rehearsals for the new programming, or it’s under maintenance, or.........being lined up for General Election rehearsals?

Or, I have a very vivid imagination.........

EDIT | Someone has just confirmed to me that rehearsals are underway. For what, I’ve no clue.

Any suggestion it isn't? What audience service do the BBC use for Elstree - that might indicate anything booked in (that requires an audience anyway).

Europa League night. If all else fails there is always College Green.

Guess it's time to get Dimbleby out of the deep freeze.

Probably new programming but could Royal obit rehearsals.

Obit rehearsals are usually in C. It requires fewer staff so is more appropriate for a short notice broadcast.

I suggested a while ago that a combination of Studio B, VR stuff in A and the touch screen on the balcony per OS could work. Read into the fact that MediaBoy gave the post kudos what you will...

Considering Sally did a weeks worth of rehersals for Worklife (and Victoria also did at least one day) I imagine that it is Lucy and Aaron rehearsing for the new programmes would be the most likely answer to that question.
