No, at this stage it’s questionable if it’s necessary as it’s like deja-vu. They’ll do a newsflash when something actually moves on.

I haven't seen any newsflashes on BBC1 between EE and Holby City.

Maybe they did it because it was a simulcast (if there was one). Sky News decided to do the same as their distribution has gotten wider.

It's changed (as has been mentioned here in the past) although it's been the case on BBC World for much longer so we'd seen them on simulcasts anyway.
