In regard to Peston, it'd be possible for them to film an edition today as they film Sunday Brunch at TC2 so they could have time to strike the SB set, put up Peston for say late afternoon then strike that set for Lorraine on Monday.

Sophy Ridge on Sunday was extended to 90 minutes this morning as Michael Gove was a guest around 9.30, replacing Sophy Ridge: The Take.

How long has Sunday Brunch shared the studio. Didn't they used to share studios with The Wright Stuff prior to the letters move to ITN?

Since the beginning of this year I believe, the Whiteleys studio closed down at the end of 2018 due to redevelopment of Whiteleys.

Sky news push notification just now - Did your Mp scupper Brexit deal vote? Find out here.
Feels a little bit loaded when how did your MP vote would be the more neutral language.

They've now changed that with the following message.

A previous version of this article ran the headline: 'Did your MP scupper Brexit Deal Vote? Find out here...'. It was changed by a senior editorial figure who felt that it fell short of Sky News' editorial standards.

For reference the article is/was https://news.sky.com/story/how-your-mp-votehow-all-mps-voted-on-an-amendment-which-is-said-to-effectively-force-boris-johnson-to-ask-for-an-extension-to-article-50-d-on-letwin-amendment-to-pms-brexit-agreement-11839470. Had this been BBC News I can imagine the press and politicians would have had a field day over the initial article title.

Watching BBC Breakfast this morning there was once again one solitary but very loud 'stop brexit' protestor making himself heard. From one of the interview angles it looks like the individual is using a megaphone tube. I can't help thinking that BBC needs pre-empt the individual turning up and find a way to counteract it. Maybe using more suitable/directional mics, if there was any way to reduce noise at their current location (e.g. glass screen), or find an alternative location where the protestor(s) can't be heard as clearly.

Today must be harder for broadcasters as nobody knows if they will be a major vote today or not.
And if there is a vote it could be during primetime.

Simon McCoy has already confirmed his presence for the entire afternoon on College Green, not being sure why as “nobody knows what’s going on......”, or words to that effect.

With two urgent questions and three Statements from 15.30 in the (unlikely it seems) event the Speaker allows the vote the debate (of 90 mins) would start sometime between 18.30 -21.00 with the vote sometime between 20.00 -22.30.

I tuned in for the start of Newsroom Live today but switched off immediately when I saw Carrie Gracie standing on College Green. Broadcasts from there are unwatchable IMO as the demonstrators and their flags are too distracting. I also worry that said broadcasts create a more serious problem in that the TV companies' presence attracts the type of demonstrator that may harass MPs on either side of the Brexit debate.

I'd far prefer broadcasts to take place in a studio away from College Green. Even the spot inside the Palace of Westminster where they often interview MPs (I think it might be called the lobby?) would be better.

They not allowed to bring in the required crew for that - only lobby accredited journalists and technical accredited staff. So anyone who does not work 100% on politics would not be accredited
