So the vote is going ahead, regardless of whether the Letwin Amendment passes or or not then? (which could put us back at square one if passes and we have to ask for the extension!)

We’ve now got a bizzare situation of Brexit coverage on BBC One and BBC Two (along with BBC News and BBC Parliament)

Probably until 10:00

I wonder why the BBC News Special on BBC Two didn’t start until 10, considering Breakfast are basically a BBC News Special themselves.

I guess the logic was that Breakfast would provide the 'fluffier' build-up to the debate, while BBC Two appealed to the anoraks.

Interesting though that BBC One doesn't seem to have mentioned the BBC Two simulcast once - only mentioning the 'NC all day' and the BBC One 1.15pm special.

Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were on Breakfast. From a tweet, it looks like Roger Johnson was emergency backup back in Salford

Coverage this week in particular, and I think previously too, has been asking the question "Will it pass?" rather than "Should it pass?" - i.e. the focus has been that MPs will be voting on the deal, rather than the deal they're actually voting on.

Agree, the Lobby loves this stuff - the intrigue of who's voting one way or the other, running the possible numbers, what it might mean for the personalities involved. That's the real Westminster bubble - getting so overexcited over the drama in the chamber that they're forgetting to give us much substance on what this deal actually means.

I thought they were packing up at 2.30.

Tricky tonight with Strictly on BBC1 and their only PDC Darts event of the year on BBC2. It's days like this when the BBC could really do with a news channel.

Kay Burley was on Sky, not sure if she'll continue rolling all day.

ITV won't be covering this, live Rugby is on.

I'd imagine, given todays circumstances, the Darts will be shoved onto the Red Button without even a second thought this evening.

It could be more interesting if the result of the vote happens in the 6.30-7pm period (if it happens at all today). What comes first for BBC One - an event of huge national importance, or the Brexit vote.

Geeta Guru Murthy is on the News Channel and BBC Two. At a guess it will be Christian Fraser this afternoon.

Pleasantly surprised that nobody here has suggested it be moved to ITV2 or something equally preposterous (ignoring that bar the votes themselves the public won’t be bothered about what MP X has to say and most would much prefer to watch the rugby instead).
I can think of worse people than Maro Itoje to be the next Defence Secretary.
